White Spruce

The white spruce (Picea glauca) is a hardy, medium-to-large evergreen known for its dense, pyramidal form, bluish-green needles, and adaptability across northern forests and windbreak plantings. It grows best in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral loam or sandy soils, but is highly tolerant of poorer, drier, and colder sites while thriving in full sun.
