Norway Red Pine
The red pine (Pinus resinosa), also known as northern red pine, is a tall, straight evergreen with long, paired needles and reddish bark that becomes flaky with age, making it a signature tree of northern conifer forests. It grows best in well-drained, sandy or loamy acidic soils and thrives in full sun, especially in dry upland sites where few other tree species compete successfully.
