White Pine

The eastern white pine (Pinus strobus) is a tall, graceful evergreen recognized for its soft, bluish-green needles in clusters of five and its straight trunk with layered horizontal branches that give it a distinctive, feathery appearance. It grows best in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic sandy or loamy soils and thrives in full sun, though it can tolerate partial shade and a wide range of site conditions.
