Serviceberry (Juneberry)
The serviceberry (Amelanchier spp.), also known as juneberry, is a small tree or multi-stemmed shrub prized for its early white spring blossoms, edible blueberry-like fruits, and vibrant orange-red fall foliage. It grows best in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soils, typically loams or sandy loams, and thrives in full sun to partial shade while adapting well to woodland edges and open landscapes.
