Staff is on hand to discuss your situation or we can come out and take a look at the problem and offer potential solutions. If it is beyond our technical expertise we will do our best to connect you with someone who can help.
In addition to technical assistance, there are a few options for financial assistance available through the SWCD or others through our partner agency the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS). Not all projects are eligible and funds are limited.
Funding for conservation work is not always immediately available, so contact us early to allow time to acquire funding. Some funds only approve project funding once or twice a year. For others, we may need to put together a list of specific projects, cost estimates, and environmental benefits of these projects and submit an application for funding.
You can email the Winona County SWCD, or contact us at (507)523-2171, extension 3.
