The Buffer Law:


     Public Waters

1. an average of 50 feet of buffer, minimum of 30 feet, or

2. state shoreland standards and criteria (50 feet of buffer in Winona County)

Note:  the buffer widths listed above are for each side of the public waters.

SWCDs across the state will be assisting landowners in complying with the 2015 MN Buffer Law.

SWCDs are also required to:
