Winona SWCD New Resource Specialist

The Winona County Soil and Water Conservation Office Supervisors and staff welcome Mark Root as their new “Resource Specialist”.

Mark comes to the District with over 31 years of experience in the civil engineering and landscape architecture fields. He was previously employed by Yaggy Colby Associates, Inc of Rochester where he held the position of Department Head of Landscape Architecture.  Mark was licensed in Minnesota as a Landscape Architect from 1997 -2009 and his diverse experience includes; surveying, wetland delineation, grading and erosion control plan preparation, and cost estimating.

Mark looks forward to assisting Winona County residents with developing storm water management and erosion control measures and implementing pollution prevention practices that will enhance and preserve the soil and waters of Winona County.
